There are several possible causes for the Audi central locking system to malfunction. It could be a problem with the key, the fuse box, or the system itself. You should use a different key if the problem is with the primary key. The next possible step is to check the fuse box. If the fuse is out of control, it is a must to replace it with a new
This vehicle…the doors would lock and unlock as you drove down the road. Because the bat terminals ware so corroded the connection to the battery would fail, charge, fail etc… enough electricity could flow thru the connection to keep the engine running, but that was it. Easy enough to try cleaning those terminals before you spend a wad of
When trying to lock the car via the central locking button on the key the door locks go down then straight back up again (lock then unlock), as though the car is detecting one of the doors, boot or petrol cap is open. If I press the lock button this repeats until on the 5th attempt the car locks fine - it always locks on exactly the 5th attempt!
Central locking works fine using key in lock and by operating indoor switches. Fuse 63 and others all ok. Unplugged cables to GEM box for more than one hour. Unplugged battery for 30 mins. Still no confirmation beep when trying to program key fob and key fob will not operate doors. Battery is new in key fob. Key itself will open drivers door, rear doors, boot and disable the alarm, also re-locks said doors and enables alarm; no movement of passenger front door lock. Again, proof of front door lock motors being burnt out. The key has a manual linkage to the drivers door lock so will ALWAYS open it - even if it's superlocked.

I purchased a new 2017 HRV EX in September of this year. Yesterday I noticed that as I was driving, the doors started to automatically lock-slightly unlock-lock-slightly unlock-lock-slightly unlock-etc, lasting for maybe a minute or two. It happened a few times last night and then a few more times today, all as I was driving 10-30mph.
