Just wanted to note that this likely isn't an issue with Guild Wars 2 itself, but a service sitting in front of the game (and all ANet services). Which is also probably why you haven't seen any posts on the Forums, either since it uses the same login system. And it also affects account management and Guild Wars 1.

In addition, if you aren't close to the servers, you could have significant issues playing just because routing traffic halfway across the globe is prone to failures. Using a VPN or a service like GeForce Now can alleviate these issues. I had a similar issue just with gw2 however not sure if the same. For me had a faulty network adapter. i'm getting the same problem. I was in game and kept getting wierd in game issues like couldnt leave squad and that in game server client issue thing and then i log out and it tells me i have the wrong password now.
