Greetings everyone, I have a (in my eyes) a fairly big project that I’m trying to achieve with my 2011 Passat Variant EU. Today, the car is running Halogen headlights / taillights and I’m planning to do an OEM retrofit of the Xenon headlights and LED taillights. Currently I’m scavenging car wrecks who have the OEM Xenon/LED lights.

Even without the parts to get the swiveling/leveling, just purchasing the OEM headlight housing for the bi-xenon's would set you back at least $1000. OEM headlight housings are expensive, even if you were just getting replacement halogen housings. U.
4. Press and open the clip and take out the original HID Xenon bulb. 5. Take off the wires and igniter from the ballast. 6. Take off the chuck from the LED bulb and lock it by the clip, then put the LED bulb into the chuck. So, it is technically possible to install bi-xenon headlights without removing the bumper (see steps 1-9). I've recently undertaken a retrofit of Bi-Xenon headlights with LED DRL's to a MY15 Amarok Highline. It's fairly plug and play as the 10 pin plugs are identical from the halogen lights to the Xenon ones. On a side note, the Amarok is the same as the new Beetle in that it doesn't have headlight washers or Auto-levelling headlight range The reason why i ask about the Xenon bulb if its for Low & High(BI Xenon)beam is because when i tested the high beam in the garage ( kind of dark ). Oh, the high beam level (switch in the cabin) does work when the lights are off. It flashes when i pull on the level only if the low beam is off. But i notice when i tested that way. jsWPVR.
